The administrative area of Cormòns includes not only the
city centre
but also some hamlets and numerous minor places. The variegated morphology of the surrounding areas consists of Monte Quarin, the eastern hilly area and a small portion of the plain. This takes to a consequent variety for what concern the
Nature,
human activities in the territory and the features of the different areas in which houses are placed. There are obviously many places of tourist interest.
We can start our guided tour starting from the southern area of cormonese territory, and in particular from the place known as Bosc di sot. Here a wonderful morphological alteration has happened because of human activities. The original clay hills have been replaced by a big quarry, and moreover the same clay extraction created a small
lake, now transformed in a fishing reserve placed near the Fornaci.
